Congratulations, dear Ian for finishing your studies as the best student in pharmaceutical studies in 2022! We couldn’t be any prouder!

Hello, I’m Okello Ian and was born in Bondo. Resources were scarce for a family of six that depended on a struggling widowed mother.

I did my KCPE in 2011 and scored 380 marks. I received a calling letter to join Kanga High School, but did not know how to possibly raise the necessary school fees.

Fortunately, I heard about Teach a Child (TaC)-Africa sponsorship and applied. I was amazed to be among the students who won the scholarship. Under Tac sponsorship, I did my KCSE in 2015 and scored A plain. Later, I joined Kenyatta University to pursue a degree in Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.PHARM) and graduated in 2022 as the best student of the year. My performance was recognized both by the university and the Pharmaceutical Society of Kenya (PSK).

Currently, I'm contracted by the Government of Kenya as a Pharmacist Intern. I’m humbled and honored to be a TaC alumnus, an organization that has positively influenced my professional growth and development.‘
